Hmmm…your assumptions are that men sharing domestic work equally are merely pleasing their spouses, that there’s something weak about pleasing one’s spouse, that women are inherently irrational, that your self-evaluated level of tidiness was “just fine,” that men do housework to gain women’s approval, that domestic chores you neglected didn’t need doing, that sharing tasks equally is “putting women in charge of the house,” and that men are always right.

The 1950s called. They want their attitude back.
