I think Chomsky is right at least in terms of a negotiated settlement being preferable to other options. He's also right that we won't know if we can reach a settlement until we try. That's a bit unsettling, because what if we try and it doesn't work. Still, we have a moral obligation to make the effort. Thanks for sharing these insights.
