It's true. Our understanding of Eastern thought is mediated and filtered through the perceptions of westerners who chose to translate it and export it the west according their own agendas. I've noticed a growing number of people learning languages like Pali and Sanskrit so that they can study the scriptures directly. Also, teachers from the East are supplanting westerners and sharing more authentic interpretations. Thanks for sharing your insights.
